As we approach 2026, our CEO Gavin Hepburn reflects on an exceptional year for Dale Power Solutions. From a strategic acquisition and award-winning sustainability achievements to major project milestones and our 90th anniversary celebrations, 2025 has been a defining year in our company’s history.
I’m proud to announce that we’ve delivered over 20% growth in turnover and profit this year, which is amazing achievement to end 2025 on. This year also marked the major milestone our 90th anniversary, which we celebrated with our 90th Anniversary with a Summer Ball, bringing together colleagues, customers, and partners to recognise nine decades of innovation and service.

Another standout moment in 2025 was the acquisition of Calibre Power Electronics. The move strengthens Dale’s position in Scotland, enhances our offshore UPS service capabilities, and enables Calibre to expand its reach into England, supported by increased distribution facilities and access to Dale’s wide customer base. We look forward to seeing Calibre thrive in 2026 and beyond.
Following the installation of our battery energy storage system (BESS) and EV charging points at our Scarborough headquarters in 2024, we have seen substantial benefits throughout 2025, including a 30% reduction in energy costs and an average electricity rate reduction of approximately 7p/kWh. Our predicted Scope 2 CO₂ emissions reduction for the system’s first year is a massive 27.3 tonnes.
This year, we also installed 113kWp of solar panels, which will compound these benefits in 2026 as we expand the electrification of our service fleet. We continue to transition our 85+ service team to a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) fleet, with 66 vehicles expected on the road by the end of 2026. Moving from diesel to PHEV represents an 80% reduction in CO₂ emissions, as diesel models emit 188g/km, while the hybrid version emits just 37g/km.
In 2025, we announced a major 4.6MWh BESS project integrated with an existing 1.9MWp solar PV system. After successful factory acceptance testing this summer, the 43-tonne asset is on track for project completion in Q1 2026.
We also secured a significant project in Teesside, a 288kW / 1002kWh battery system that will support major expansion for a local manufacturer. It’s encouraging to see increased adoption of battery technology among UK manufacturers, and we are proud to support clean-tech innovation across the Teesside region.
We were honoured to win the AMPS Award for Energy and Sustainability this year, and to have been shortlisted for the VINCI Facilities Supply Chain Environmental Impact Award. These are important recognitions of our commitment to sustainability initiatives.

In 2025, we exhibited at three major shows, highlighting our BESS capabilities, generator manufacturing expertise and partnership with Himoinsa, and our offshore strengths through Erskine and Calibre:
Solar & Storage Live, ExCel London
Data Centre World (DCW), ExCel London
Offshore Europe, Aberdeen
The team at DCW
We also participated in a wide range of specialist and regional events, including:
RIN (Rail Infrastructure Networking) in London, Glasgow, Derby, and Harrogate
NiBs Battery Conference and Exhibition
Attended Middle East Energy and ADIPEC, and exhibited at Project Qatar to reinforce our presence in the Middle East
CBRE Supplier Event
Water Equipment Show
NOF events, including Net Zero, Offshore Wind North East, and Nuclear
Scarborough STEM Week
We were delighted to welcome Made in Yorkshire members for a factory tour at our Scarborough headquarters, which was an excellent opportunity to showcase our manufacturing capabilities as a key employer in North Yorkshire.

We also welcomed Alison Hume MP, the Labour Member of Parliament for Scarborough and Whitby, for a presentation and factory tour. The visit provided an opportunity to highlight our ongoing role as a major regional employer, apprenticeship provider, and sustainability leader.

In August, devastating fires spread across Langdale and the North York Moors, burning 10 square miles over three weeks. We supported local response efforts by donating approximately 4,500 litres of fuel to power vehicles tackling the blaze.
We were also proud sponsors of Unity Racing, who represented the UK at the ARAMCO F1 in Schools STEM World Finals 2025 in Singapore, achieving an impressive third-place finish. The global competition enables students to design and race miniature F1 cars, reaching speeds over 70 km/h, a fantastic STEM achievement.

A highlight of the year was recognising Ian Ellmore for an extraordinary 50 years of service. Since starting as an apprentice draughtsman in 1975, Ian has represented Dale across the world, including Singapore, Indonesia, the UAE, and Malaysia. His dedication and expertise continue to inspire colleagues across the business.

2025 has been a year of growth, transformation, and celebration for Dale Power Solutions. As we look ahead to 2026, our focus remains firmly on innovation, sustainability, and delivering exceptional value to our customers. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our colleagues, the loyalty of our customers, and the support of our partners.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We look forward to building an even stronger future together.
