We’re proud to announce our sponsorship of Unity Racing, the award-winning student team from Scarborough UTC, as they prepare to represent the UK at the prestigious ARAMCO F1 in Schools STEM World Finals 2025 in Singapore, taking place alongside the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix this October.
F1 in Schools is a global programme and STEM challenge in which teams design, build, and race miniature Formula 1 cars capable of reaching speeds of over 70 km/h. Participants are required to apply real-world engineering and project management skills while adhering to strict international regulations.
Unity Racing is made up of students aged 15–18 from Scarborough UTC. In March 2024, Unity Racing were crowned national champions at the Lenovo F1 in Schools UK National Finals 2024/25, where they swept the competition with category wins for:
Best Engineered Car
Fastest Model Car
Best Verbal Presentation Skills
These outstanding achievements earned the team not only their place at the World Finals in Singapore, but also:
Full-fee bursaries to study engineering at Aston University
A behind-the-scenes paddock tour of Silverstone, home of the British Grand Prix
An exclusive tour of a Formula 1 team factory
As a leading power solutions provider with a strong focus on engineering excellence, we’re committed to supporting the next generation of talent. Our engineers will be collaborating with the Unity Racing team in technical workshops and design reviews to help them further optimise their car ahead of the global finals.
We recently welcomed Unity Racing for a behind-the-scenes factory tour at Dale Power Solutions, where they met members of our engineering team and explored real-world applications of power systems.
We look forward to supporting the team all the way to Singapore and beyond!
