Women in Engineering: Joanne Haigh’s 27-Year Career at Dale Power Solutions

At Dale Power Solutions, we’re fortunate to have many talented women working across engineering roles. Today, we’re highlighting Jo to recognise her long-standing contribution, technical expertise, and the example she sets for future generations of women in the industry.

A Career Built on Passion and Ambition

Jo began her engineering career after leaving school at 16, entering the automotive sector where she gained valuable experience and developed the foundations for a future in the power solutions industry.

In 1998 Jo joined Dale Power Solutions as a Production Coordinator, leading operations while our main factory was based in Gristhorpe. At a time when women were typically encouraged into administrative roles, Jo went above and beyond to immerse herself in the technical side of the business.

Supporting Field Engineers Across Major Contracts

Since 2004, Jo has been an integral part of our Generator Service Coordinators team, responsible for organising complex service operations. In 2021, she progressed to managing major contracts where she now provides vital support to our engineers working in the field across the UK.
