Dale Power Solutions will be exhibiting at the Water Equipment Show (WES) 2026 on 14th May at the Telford International Centre.
Our commercial Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) team, alongside Ben Reed, Business Development Manager for battery storage, will be on hand to discuss how we can support the water sector with resilient, efficient power solutions.
From WIMES-compliant IP54 UPS systems to smart battery storage, we help operators maintain continuity, optimise grid connections, and integrate renewable energy.
The OFWAT Asset Management Period 8 (AMP8), introduced in April 2025, places increased pressure on water companies to deliver:
Improved environmental performance
Greater cost efficiency
Enhanced social value
Meeting these demands requires robust backup power resilience to prevent environmental spillages, alongside energy-efficient solutions that operate in harsh, remote environments while reducing CO₂ emissions.
Dale Power Solutions delivers tailored UPS and battery storage technologies for the water sector:
WIMES-compliant IP54 UPS systems engineered to perform reliably in extreme conditions, with protection against water and dust ingress.
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) that enable grid connection optimisation, renewable integration, and energy cost savings through load shifting and peak shaving.
Our experience in the sector includes delivering robust, site-specific solutions across commercial UPS and battery storage.
A recent project at a water treatment works involved designing and supplying a tailored UPS configuration using our HE series. This formed part of wider resilience measures to ensure operational continuity and compliance with increasingly stringent environmental regulations. The UPS provides backup power to the site’s Motor Control Centre (MCC) panels, supporting essential motors, pumps, and treatment processes.
Our BESS division also recently secured a 60kW / 200kWh project for a water service operator at a pumping station. The project has a predicted ROI of 1 year; the system is set to deliver both reliable backup power and cost-effective, autonomous energy management.
BESS BDM, Ben Reed, commented on the project:
We’re delighted to see the water industry becoming more open to adopting BESS technology, considering the operational and sustainability pressures within the sector. We also hope this represents a shift towards further BESS adoption in this sector.
We recently announced the opening of a new hub for our commercial UPS division at North Orbital Commercial Park, marking a significant milestone in our continued growth across the UK.
