Stuart MacPhail Promoted to Head of Commercial UPS Division Based at New St Albans Site
Dale Power Solutions recently announced our new, expanded site at North Orbital Business Park in St Albans as our commercial uninterruptible power supply (UPS) product and service hub, with modern meeting space and a purpose-built showroom.
In line with the continued growth of this division, we are delighted to announce the promotion of Stuart MacPhail BSc (Hons) EngTech MIET to Head of the Commercial UPS division.
Stuart brings a wealth of experience and technical expertise to his new role, built over two decades in the electrical and backup power industry.
He began his career in 2006 after completing a national diploma in electrical engineering. In 2010, he transitioned into the UPS and generator sector through a four-year apprenticeship, gaining comprehensive, hands-on experience across multiple departments. Following the completion of his apprenticeship, Stuart moved into technical support. He later progressed to Technical Services Manager, overseeing a team of approximately 15 multi-disciplined engineers. Alongside his professional development, Stuart completed his HNC, HND, and engineering degree.
Stuart joined Dale Power Solutions in 2021 as UPS Service Manager, where he led a team of approximately 30 engineers across Commercial UPS, Industrial UPS, and Battery Maintenance.
In 2023, he progressed to Service Engineering Manager, expanding his responsibilities to oversee around 80 field service engineers, including the management of three generator service teams in addition to his existing remit.
In 2026, Stuart stepped into his current role as Head of Commercial UPS, where he will lead the strategic growth and development of the division.
Reflecting on his promotion, Stuart commented:
This move followed many conversations about enhancing the business’s approach and effectiveness with commercial UPS systems, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead.
Stuart’s promotion comes at a pivotal time for Dale Power Solutions, as the new St Albans facility strengthens our presence in the South and enhances our ability to support customers with dedicated UPS expertise.
With Stuart leading the division, the business is well-positioned to drive innovation, improve service delivery, and expand its commercial UPS offering across the UK.
