Dale Power Solutions is pleased to be exhibiting at this year’s Data Centre World, at the ExCeL London on 4–5 March 2026. As one of the UK’s leading providers of critical backup power systems, the event provides a valuable opportunity to connect with data centre operators and developers at a critical time when the sector is undergoing rapid transformation.

Dale Power Solutions’ critical backup power expertise spans over nine decades, supporting critical sectors including healthcare, rail, power infrastructure and industrial facilities. This heritage underpins our capabilities for modern data centre projects, where reliability and efficiency are critical.
Alongside our own engineered generator solutions, we also partner with several generator partners, including Himoinsa’s HGY Series of high-efficiency generators, which help data centre operators reduce fuel consumption and improve operational efficiency.
Dale Power Solutions delivers complete, integrated backup power solutions for data centres, including:
Generators (multiple fuel types available, including hydro-treated vegetable oil)
High-efficiency Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS)
Battery energy storage systems (BESS), with solar and finance packages available
Service, maintenance and generator fuel management
From initial design and project engineering through to installation, commissioning and long-term lifecycle support, Dale Power Solutions provides a single point of responsibility for your power resilience.
Data centres are changing how power is consumed. Significant energy is needed for IT loads and cooling systems, which maintain stable operating temperatures to prevent equipment from overheating and failing. As workloads increase, driven by cloud computing, AI, and data-intensive applications, power density and reliability requirements continue to rise.
At the same time, UK data centre growth has accelerated rapidly, placing increasing strain on the electricity infrastructure. Grid connection queues are heavily congested and under reform, making on-site generation increasingly important in enabling new developments.
We design and deliver robust critical power backup architectures for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data centres, engineered to support high-density loads and stringent availability requirements. Our solutions are developed to provide resilient configurations across UPS, generator, and energy storage systems, with full integration into existing electrical infrastructure and control platforms.
Through detailed load analysis, fault-tolerant design, and proactive lifecycle maintenance, we ensure predictable performance during utility disturbances, seamless transition to standby power, and long-term reliability aligned with uptime, compliance, and operational continuity objectives.
At the start of 2025, the UK Government set out its ambition to make the country an ‘AI superpower’, publishing the AI Opportunities Action Plan and launching Artificial Intelligence Growth Zones (AIGZs). These initiatives aim to unlock investment in data centres and AI infrastructure by addressing planning, power and grid constraints.
Proposals include:
Treating certain data centre projects as Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects to speed up planning consent.
Establishing a national team of AI data centre planning experts, backed by a £4.5 million fund to support local authorities.
Offering support to tackle grid connection challenges, energy prices and community impact.
These measures, alongside reforms to the National Planning Policy Framework published in December 2025, reflect how strategically important data centres have become to the UK economy.
