Dale Power Solutions Expands Critical Power and Life-Safety UPS Ranges with GTEC Europe
News
Dale Power Solutions has expanded its commercial Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) range to offer advanced critical power and life-safety solutions for the UK market through our working relationship with GTEC Europe.
The collaboration combines Dale Power Solutions’ nationwide engineering, commissioning, maintenance, and project delivery capabilities with GTEC Europe’s extensive UPS and Central Power Supply System (CPSS) technology portfolio, creating a stronger offering for customers operating within mission-critical environments.
The partnership expands the range of both transformer-less and transformer-based UPS and BS EN 50171-compliant CPSS systems available to customers across the healthcare, transport, infrastructure, data centres, industrial manufacturing, utilities, commercial property, and facilities management sectors.
Rather than operating through a traditional distribution-only model, the partnership is focused on technical collaboration, engineering support, lifecycle management, and long-term customer resilience.
The strengthened relationship allows Dale Power Solutions to work closely alongside GTEC Europe on project specification, technical design support, commissioning strategy, application engineering, and ongoing service support for complex critical power environments.
The collaboration also provides customers with access to European-manufactured UPS and CPSS solutions supported by European Certificate of Origin documentation, helping support procurement requirements where European-origin equipment is preferred for infrastructure and public-sector projects.
The expanded portfolio includes a range of critical power and life-safety solutions designed to support diverse operational requirements across mission-critical environments, including the following product ranges:
The Discovery range delivers compact transformer-less online double conversion UPS technology from 10kVA to 120kVA with 1:1, 3:1 and 3:3 configurations available depending on power rating. Available in multiple chassis sizes to suit different installation requirements, selected models can support up to three strings of batteries internally. Designed for data centres, healthcare, telecommunications, transport, and commercial infrastructure applications. Discovery provides Power Factor 1 output, efficiency up to 96.2%, advanced battery management, parallel capability up to 8 units, and support for VRLA, AGM, GEL, Ni-Cd and lithium-ion battery technologies.
GTEC Saturn UPSThe Saturn range provides high-efficiency medium-to-high power three-phase UPS systems in 160kVA and 200kVA ratings with Power Factor 1 output and efficiencies up to 96% in online operation. Designed for data centres, industrial process environments, telecommunications, and transport infrastructure, Saturn combines advanced IGBT inverter technology, smart battery management, dual input supply capability, and scalable parallel architecture up to 1200kVA.
Libra Pro extends the partnership capability into high-power transformer-based UPS architecture from 10kVA to 800kVA. Incorporating inverter output isolation transformers, the range is designed for electrically demanding environments requiring enhanced fault tolerance, galvanic isolation, and operational resilience. Available in both 3:1 and 3:3 configurations, Libra Pro supports parallel operation up to 8 units alongside advanced communications, SNMP/Modbus integration, intelligent battery charging, and simplified maintenance architecture.
Libra Pro is also available with integrated PWA (Power Absorber) technology for regenerative load applications commonly found in industrial and infrastructure environments. The technology safely dissipates regenerated energy during braking or deceleration events, helping protect UPS performance and system stability. Available across selected Libra Pro models from 30kVA to 400kVA, PWA technology is suited to applications including lifts, cranes, pumps, compressors, cooling systems, machine tools, and other motor-driven environments.
The Power CPS range strengthens Dale’s life-safety and emergency lighting capability with dedicated BS EN 50171-compliant Central Power Supply Systems from 5kVA to 100kVA. Available in 1:1, 3:1 and 3:3 configurations, the systems are specifically designed for emergency escape lighting, fire alarm systems, smoke extraction systems, sprinkler systems, and other critical building safety applications.
Continued growth for Dale’s commercial UPS division

The partnership follows continued growth within Dale’s Commercial UPS division, including the recent opening of a larger facility at North Orbital Commercial Park in St Albans and the promotion of Stuart MacPhail to Head of Commercial UPS.
The expanded product range further strengthens Dale’s ability to deliver tailored UPS solutions for both standard and specialist applications, supporting customers with scalable power protection systems designed for long-term resilience and operational continuity.
What is a Central Power Supply System (CPSS)?
A Central Power Supply System (CPSS) provides backup power for life-safety applications such as emergency lighting, fire alarms, smoke extraction, and sprinkler systems in accordance with BS EN 50171.
What industries use UPS systems?
UPS systems are widely used across healthcare, data centres, transport, utilities, manufacturing, commercial buildings, and other environments where power interruptions could disrupt critical operations.
What is the difference between transformer-less and transformer-based UPS systems?
Transformer-less UPS systems offer high efficiency and a compact footprint, while transformer-based UPS systems provide galvanic isolation and enhanced fault tolerance for demanding industrial applications.
What is BS EN 50171?
BS EN 50171 is the European standard that specifies requirements for Central Power Supply Systems used to support emergency escape lighting and other essential life-safety systems.
What critical power solutions does Dale Power Solutions provide?
Dale Power Solutions supplies and maintains commercial and industrial UPS systems, generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and critical power maintenance services for mission-critical environments.
