Generator Servicing

Dale Power Solutions (Dale) has invested in a new building at its manufacturing facility in Scarborough. The purpose built factory is 600m2 and has been erected with a 14m roof height and is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art machinery and testing equipment.

The new building has sufficient height for even the largest of projects, providing the best working environment for building the high-quality containerised generators and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, provided by the company.

This is second building at the location with features such as two 12.5T electric overhead cranes, 3 generator test bays (with combined test capability of 5MVA), range of resistive and reactive load banks (200kW to 1.6MW) and specialist water cooling tower for marine generator test applications there is an extensive outdoor space for loading and storage.

Roger Clay, Product Director explains. “With the growth in our customer base and their requirements the  addition of a second building with such height means we are able to significantly increase production capacity and accommodate the largest projects as well as expand our innovation work across the business. We already have a highly skilled and experienced manufacturing team as well as part of our national service team based here which we can now expand and develop in line with future growth.

“The new building has the flexibility to accommodate large projects such as bespoke generator production and has electric overhead cranes and transport skates capable of moving 72T inside/outside factory. It is a great addition to the site part of  which is utilised for the manufacture and test of standby power solutions and is equipped with 18 double workstations for mechanical assembly and panel wiring.”

Dale's growth and recent accolades such as the Queens Awards for Enterprise, Large Employer of the Year and Princess Royal Training Award are indicative of its work in critical power for UPS, Generators, Service and Energy Storage.
