Dale Power Solutions is looking for a Junior Buyer to support the purchasing of goods and services required across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in procurement within a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
While the role is based in Scarborough, this is an on-site position working closely with our Product and Purchasing teams to support day-to-day procurement activities and supplier management.
You will need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Working within our Product division, you will support purchasing operations by raising orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and helping ensure materials and services are sourced effectively to support the business.

Raise purchase orders in line with agreed supplier terms, pricing, and quality requirements.
Request and compare supplier quotations while maintaining accurate purchasing records.
Upload and track order acknowledgements following order placement.
Chase suppliers for delivery updates and highlight any risks or delays.
Provide delivery status updates to internal teams and stakeholders.
Update ERP systems with pricing, lead times, and confirmed delivery dates.
Support supplier performance monitoring and supplier relationship management.
Assist with resolving invoice queries in a timely manner.
Ensure purchasing activities comply with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Some understanding of purchasing or administration processes.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Willingness to learn ERP systems and commercial purchasing processes.
Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable: Previous purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment. Either holds or is willing to work towards a CIPS qualification.
