Service & Maintenance
Do I need to service my power system?
Put simply, yes. Whether you have a Generator, UPS or Gas Turbine, service picks up any existing and future problems which could severely affect performance. Preventative and planned maintenance is far cheaper solution compared to complete replacement.
How often do I need to service my generator, UPS or gas turbine?
It is highly recommended that you service your power systems annually in order to maintain its lifecycle. Wear and tear over time is unavoidable so regular service gives you the peace of mind knowing your power is there when you need it.
Can you provide service for multiple power systems?
Absolutely! We can service your entire fleet of power systems, as well as manage everything else for your vital assets. Our service capability affords us the unique ability to manage the entire lifecycle of any number of power systems worldwide.
UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies)
What is a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)?
A UPS provides an uninterruptible source of power for the equipment it protects. If there is a power-blackout, where the electricity supply is cut, the UPS has an on-board battery to automatically supply power to electrical equipment until the power-blackout is over.
What is a DC UPS System?
A DC UPS is a power system that provides continuous, conditioned DC secure power to a critical load. It will generally consist of a rectifier (battery charger) supplied from either the single or three phase AC utility supply, a battery and distribution for the clients critical loads. The battery provides the standby power source to provide continuity of supply to the critical load during loss of AC utility power. The battery is ‘floated’ across the output of the rectifier so that it receives recharge current following a utility supply failure and is maintained in a charged condition ready to immediately supply power during a utility supply failure.
What is an AC UPS System?
An AC UPS is a power system that provides continuous, conditioned AC secure power to a critical load. It generally consists of a rectifier (battery charger) supplied from the AC utility supply, battery and inverter to convert the rectifier /battery DC bus to an AC output voltage suitable for the critical load. In addition a static bypass facility and maintenance bypass switch will be utilised to provide capability to switch to an alternative AC bypass supply. The static bypass facility will maintain continuity of supply to the critical load if the inverter loses output or during a high level of overload provide fault clearance current.
What is a diesel generator?
A diesel generator is the combination of a diesel engine with an alternator to generate electrical energy. Diesel generating sets are often used in places without connection to the power grid, as emergency power supply if the power grid fails, as well as more complicated applications such as grid support, peak-looping and export to the power grid. Dale Power Solutions has a variety of diesel generator sets, ranging from 7.5kVA – 3300kVA and above. Our range of diesel generator sets includes: Secure generators, secure + generators & secure infinity generators.
Do I need to clean my generator fuel?
The threat that contaminated diesel fuel poses to efficient and reliable running of diesel engines is now widely recognised. Dirty diesel, whether it be through water contamination, diesel bug or particle contamination, poses a risk to power in critical applications including standby generators. If you are storing diesel for long periods of time especially for critical applications, it is important that you take appropriate measures to preserve your fuel quality.
Where can I get parts for my generator set?
Dale Power Solutions can manage your generator spare parts with our generator spare parts management system. We will source all of your required spare parts for you, no matter what your requirement is for spare parts, we can supply spare parts for all generators and engines in operation today. Ensuring our customers can maximise generator running time without interruption.
